The gateway to Yading Nature Reserve, Daocheng. While it certainly isn’t a top destination, there are still things to do to keep you busy for a day or two. Also a great way to get away from the crowds that mark almost every other tourist spot in China.

One of my favorite places on earth, the Kungsleden, in Swedish Lapland, will be open for summer hiking from June to September this year. I spent a week on the trail and surrounding areas last September and loved (almost) every single bit of it.
